Choose your Zentronics PDU
Compare the five management tiers.
Every Zentronics AC PDU is built on the same electrical platform. The tier decides how much visibility, remote control and individual-outlet intelligence you get.
| Tier | Local metering | Remote monitoring | Outlet switching | Individual outlet metering |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | — | — | — | — |
| Metered | Inlet | — | — | — |
| Monitored | Model-dependent | Inlet + branch | — | — |
| Switched | Model-dependent | Model-dependent | Yes | — |
| Switched Metered Monitored | Yes | Inlet + branch + outlet | Yes | Yes |

AC PDU technology platform
From simple distribution to Linux-based rack intelligence.
Zentronics AC PDUs support data centres, server rooms, equipment racks, engineering desks and automated test environments with a common application-led design approach.
Basic products provide dependable outlet distribution and protection. Metered products add immediate local electrical visibility. Intelligent platforms extend that foundation with remote monitoring, alarms, environmental sensing and optional outlet-level switching and metering.
Applicable intelligent models use an embedded Linux control platform. This provides a flexible base for Ethernet-connected management, local interfaces, event handling, data collection and integration with wider infrastructure-management or laboratory-automation systems.
Product-development teams can incorporate supported PDU control and telemetry functions into continuous test automation. C or Python software can coordinate power cycling, sequencing, measurement capture and test recovery through the interfaces provided by the selected model.
Engineering specification guide
